Duplicate Files: CAP vs. KAP
When installing BSB4-style ".CAP" chart files, it is possible to still have
older BSB-3 style ".KAP" files still in the same chart folder. While this is not
a problem for many instances of Maptech products, it can create
incompatibilities when printing, transferring charts to Pocket Navigator, and
other anomalies.
This download searches the chart storage directory on your computer and removes
unused .KAP files. It should be downloaded and run on any system where older BSB
3-style .KAP files have been replaced by newer BSB-4 style .CAP files in the
same region.
Running this program on systems that do not have this condition will have no ill
effects.
